From growing your own, outdoor plants and pots, to lawn care, garden equipment & indoor plants to brighten your home. We've got everything you need to make your garden and home lovely.

We carefully curate our plant collection, hand-picking unusual and named varieties. We have a great range of outdoor plants, which changes to suit the seasons: alpines, summer and autumn bedding, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, climbers and roses, 90% are locally sourced within a 25 mile radius, with two of our suppliers using peat-free composts and the herbs and edibles are planted in pots made from recycled plastic.

You'll find our outdoor plants outside the Main Shop. Indoor plants inside the Shop and all your garden care, garden equipment and garden supplies can be found in our Barn - opposite the Main shop. If you can’t find what you’re looking for at the moment, please ask our staff who will be happy to help.

Garden Care

We stock everything you need to keep your garden in tip top condition from grass seed to slug control, fertilisers to feeds, weed and rodent control.

We also have a a range of organic/pet friendly slug controls, and pest traps, as well as a wide range of bird food and feeders and fish food.

Outdoor Plants

We stock a wide range of outdoor plants including alpines, summer and autumn bedding, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, climbers & roses: 90 per cent are locally sourced within a 25 mile radius, with two of our suppliers using peat-free composts. Our herbs & edibles are planted in pots made from recycled plastic and grown organically without use of pesticides or sprays. Sue carefully curates the collection, hand-picking unusual and named varieties.

Indoor plants

We have a collection of houseplants inside the main shop. Houseplants help purify the air in a room, & tending for them is beneficial for mental health. We also stock a range of beautiful pots & accessories, and specialised composts/fertilisers to help them thrive. Towards Christmas we have poinsettias which come in colour ranges not available through supermarkets, and are grown near Dunkeswell, so not many air miles there!

SHOP OUR RANGE

Composts & Soil

Our composts are supplied by Durston’s of Somerset- a family-owned business with over 150 years of experience, who adhere to best practice techniques in extraction of peat. The peat-free multi-purpose compost is produced entirely from renewable sources for reduced environmental impact. The bags in which their products are packed are not made of laminated polythene, so are 100% recyclable.

Seeds

All our seeds are displayed in the Barn Showroom. The Seed collection has been hand-picked by Sue to include as many varieties as we can. Our range of Unwins seeds includes their famous range of sweet peas. We also stock Franchi seeds ("the most ethical major packet seed brand"Ethical Consumer Magazine) and Vegetarian Society approved. Their seeds are grown free from neonicotinoids so are not harmful to bees or other beneficial insects.

Bulbs

Our bulbs, corms and tubers are supplied by Taylors Bulbs - a fourth generation family business, growing and supplying flower bulbs since 1919. Daffodils are grown on their farm in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.

Spring bulbs look particularly good planted underneath herbaceous perennials as these plants will grow and cover up the bulbs when they have gone over.

Pots & Containers

We always have a wide range of pots from standard ‘Bill and Ben’ to decorative Italian. Pot feet are also available together with pot trolleys. All our outdoor pots and containers are frost proof.

Gloves & Equipment

We stock a great range of gardening gloves hand picked for their performance and quality. We also have all the equipment to keep you protected while you're out in the garden. Essential for any job you're doing. If you can’t find what you want or you need some advice, our lovely staff are always on hand to offer advice or help.
